Hool, brings over 30 years of experience, including hands-on operational experience as an integral part of the property management team, as well as development experience with the full-service hotel division of a New York Stock Exchange company.
This has led to the most recent 15 years of independent consulting via Strategic Hospitality Resources, LLC (SHR) with both developers and cities on the feasibility of potential hotels.
SHR is a member/representative company of the Hospitality Marketers International (HMI) network of companies.
To provide the necessary information to developers and/or purchasers regarding their hotel/resort project so they can make an informed decision on how to proceed (i.e. develop, acquire, renovate, reposition, disposition) or not proceed with a project.
Michael feels it is imperative to get a true, accurate feeling for what is driving the lodging demand in the market area of the project. In almost all cases/projects, in-person field research by him is required.
